BSSE is in the process of developing a DB-and-GUI-generator for relational databases. The intended area of use are technical applications with the need to display and maintain complex datasets.

The database structure is specified using an XML-document, defining objects, types and relations among objects. It is automatically projected onto the target database-type (currently PostgreSQL is supported) and the target GUI-framework/language (currently Java/Swing).

The generated GUI shall incorporate multiuser synchronization logic, input verification and pluggable type-displayers for user-defined types.
